Training

The Training Division is responsible for providing educational sessions to members of the fire district to insure that we have the knowledge and tools to respond to the wide variety of emergency calls received each year. In addition to calls for fires in anything from a trash can to a high rise building, today’s firefighters and firefighter/paramedics must be prepared to handle calls for emergency medical service, hazardous materials spills/leaks, automobile extrication, technical rescue (high angle, confined space, water) and structural collapse. The Training Division ensures that the district’s training and operations are in compliance with numerous state and federal laws that govern them.

This division is led by the Deputy Chief – Training who reports to the Chief of the District.
