Bid Notice for Managed IT Services

The Maryland Heights Fire Protection District is accepting sealed bids for Managed IT Services. Specifications may be obtained starting July 26, 2019 at the District Administrative Offices: 2600 Schuetz Road Maryland Heights, Missouri between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Specifications may also be obtained by emailing a request to bdouglas@mhfire.org. All bids must be in a sealed envelope clearly marked “BID: MANAGED IT SERVICES” and mailed or delivered to the Maryland Heights Fire Protection District offices no later than 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2019. All bids are scheduled to be opened by the Board of Directors at their meeting on August 13, 2019 at the Maryland Heights Fire Protection District House #2 – 12828 Dorsett Road Maryland Heights, MO 63043.

The Maryland Heights Fire Protection District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive variations or formalities, and to negotiate changes, additions, or deletions. The District reserves the right to accept the bid which it deems to be in the District’s best interest. The District also reserves the right to extend the time to submit bids, as well as extend the time to open bids. If you should have any questions, please call (314) 298-4400.

Firefighter Paramedic Chris Moore’s Final Farewell

Firefighter Paramedic Chris MooreOn Friday June 14th, 2019 Firefighter Paramedic Chris Moore was taken to his final resting place. He served the residents of Maryland Heights for 18 years. This is the first time the Maryland Heights Fire Protection District and the City of Maryland Heights has lost a first responder.

The procession started at Grace Church and went through Maryland Heights. Chris was honored by numerous fire trucks from all over the country, ambulances and police cars in the procession. The fire truck Chris was on took him through the engine bay at the firehouse #1 on Schuetz Road for a final farewell.

Thank you to all the residents and first responders who came out along the route to show their love and support.

Accepting Applications – Firefighter/Paramedic

Maryland Heights Fire Protection District is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic. Qualifications and requirement packets may be picked up from District Headquarters at 2600 Schuetz Road Maryland Heights, MO. 63043 beginning May 20, 2019 through June 5, 2019 between 09:00am and 3:00pm Monday-Thursday. Completed packets must be turned in no later than 3:00pm on June 5, 2019.

EMS Officer Mark Russell gave a one hour presentation to the Maryland Heights Chamber of Commerce today.  He talked about what you need to know to prepare for EMS arriving at your home or business, how to evacuate in case of an emergency, and the use of smoke detectors, carbon and fire extinguishers.
